Acupuncture and Pain

Do you or some one you know suffer from pain, pain that inhibits them from doing daily activities? Do they have to take a pill to be able to move, a pill that causes unwanted side effects?  Have you questioned if acupuncture can help with pain? The answer is yes; acupuncture can help and has helped millions of people through out the world.

Acupuncture is a safe and effective way of treating and healing pain, with no bad side effects. If any thing acupuncture creates balance in the body, which can improve sleep, increase energy and help clarity of mind among other things. When it comes to pain an acupuncturist will asses what points to use based off of where the pain is located, the type of pain it is, how long it has been an issue for, along with how the whole body works in general.

If the pain is acute, less then 6 months, then it will take less treatments then treating chronic pain. If the quality of the pain is more of a dull ache that too should take less time to treat then pain that is of a sharper nature. If the pain is of a sharp and stabbing quality it takes longer to treat because it is more of a deeper issue then a dull ache.

Pain in general is a manifestation of a blockage of energy flow somewhere in the body; it is usually a symptom of an imbalance that arises because something else in the body is not working correctly. An acupuncturist through diagnosis can trace the pain back to where the imbalance is and not only treat the painful manifestation, but also the root of its cause.

Acupuncture looks at the body as a whole, all bodily functions are taken into account and the body itself is very interconnected with itself. If someone has back pain, they may also have issues with their knees, feet, bladder, kidneys and sleep.  All those issues can be treated at the same time while treating the back pain. That is why acupuncture works so well, because its treats the body as a whole, it goes to the root cause of the issue, not just cover up the painful manifestation.

If you or anyone you know suffers from pain, please take the time to contact a nearby acupuncturist to see how they can help you. Thank you for your time, I hope this has been a useful article. Please leave me any comments or questions; I hope you have a wonderful day!
